Baptism is one of the most hotly debated and divisive issues in the church today. Immersion? Sprinking? Infants? Adults? Everybody says different things and they all seem sure they’re right. We have a new Community Group starting led by David and Stacie Painter.
This group is designed with you busy families in mind. It will meet every other Sunday from 4:00–5:30 beginning May 23rd. We will have child care available for your kids in the 3rd grade and above. Maybe you are unaware, but Pastor Bert has a great blog. He slapped something up there yesterday that we think you all need to check out. He got some great feedback from the message series we just wrapped up, entitled ‘Blood Work.’ In message 2, we discussed three things that can make our blood unhealthy and discussed their correlation to things that make us unhealthy spiritually. It is time to change the clocks once again. On Saturday night March 13th we “Spring Ahead” one hour. That means we lose an hour of sleep from Saturday into Sunday. Sorry sleep lovers.
The 2010 Women’s Retreat is rapidly approaching. The retreat will be held April 30th – May 2nd at Tuscarora Inn & Conference Center. The cost is $175 per person with a $50 deposit required. Contact Jen Crabbe with any questions.
