On Sunday, May 27th we’ll be hosting an event with Compassion International. A child advocacy ministry that promotes the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of children living in poverty
Compassion Sunday is a day when we stop to speak up and pray for children living in poverty and give people an opportunity to sponsor a child in need.
Invisible Children is coming to True North!
Mark your calendars for Monday, April 30th @7pm.
We’ll be screening the “Kony” documentary, hearing from the Invisible Children staff, and have a Q&A with a survivor from the Ugandan conflict. Oh, and this event is FREE so spread the word!
We’ve all experienced how wonderful fire can be. We heat our homes, take hot showers and enjoy cooked food because of it. But we’ve also seen how dangerous and destructive fire can be. The book of James compares our tongue to a fire – something that can do great good or great harm. Join us for a journey into 6 famous fires and the lessons they teach us.
Last Summer, the people of True North compiled nearly $5,000 worth of water bottles.
That money was sent to Charity Water, a non-profit aimed to get people everywhere access to clean drinking water.
We’re proud to announce that money has been put to good use and a well is in the process of being drilled!
